Privacy Policy

How Credit Master Systems collects, uses and keeps information. Last updated August 2026.

Who we are

Credit Master Systems (CMS) operates a bad-debt reporting service in Belize. Businesses report unpaid complaints to CMS; CMS records them and, on request, reports a person's standing as a C-Score and a PCI Certificate. Our office is at # 11 Douglas Jones Street, Belize City, Belize, and we can be reached at cmsbz@btl.net.

The information we hold

Our records contain complaint information supplied by the business sector: names and identifying details of the persons complained about (including social security number, date of birth, address and employer where supplied), together with the history of complaints and settlements. If you hold an account with CMS — as a partner business, a member of staff, or a customer of our mobile application — we also hold the details you gave us when the account was created: your name, phone number, email address and a protected form of your password. We never store your password itself.

How it is used

Complaint records exist for one purpose: answering whether a person has unpaid complaints on record. Before any record is matched to a search, the searched identity is cross-checked against the Belize Social Security Board. Every search, sale and staff action is logged so that our reporting is auditable.

Payments

Payments are taken on our payment provider's own secure page. CMS never receives or stores card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. We keep a record of each sale — what was bought, the amount and the tax charged — because the law requires it.

Messages we send

We send SMS messages to verify phone numbers when an account is created, and we email purchased documents to the address on the account. We do not use your details for marketing.

How long we keep things

Sale records are kept for tax purposes. A PCI Certificate you have purchased stays available in your account permanently; once its validity period has passed, downloaded copies are marked EXPIRED.
